2001-2002 School of Excellence

At a celebration for staff members Old Bridge Elementary School received the School of Excellence Award for the second year.

Ms. Tawnya Soltis, Principal, Ms. Anita Flemons, Assistant Principal, and all school employees were presented awards by Mrs. Lucy Beauchamp, Dr. Edward L. Kelly, and Associate Superintendent, Dr. William Birchette.

Dr. Kelly, Dr. Birchette, and other Associate Superintendents congratulated employees during the ceremony.

 

 

Ms. Soltis and Ms. Flemons accepted a School of Excellence commemorative flag on behalf of Old Bridge Elementary at a school board awards ceremony.

Some of the reasons Old Bridge Elementary was selected as a School of Excellence are:

• At Old Bridge Elementary, staff and students are committed to the motto “Make a Dive and Splash into Learning” every day.
  
• School-wide programs strengthen the literacy of students, with 60 minutes of daily silent reading a priority.

• Old Bridge Elementary utilizes curriculum integration of encore subjects – art, music, and PE, and general education with special education.

• Old Bridge Elementary has dedicated parents, volunteers, teachers, and staff who are committed to lifelong learning and provide an environment that instills in children a belief in themselves.
