Some of the reasons Saunders Middle School was selected as a School of Excellence are:
- At Saunders Middle School, there is a friendly atmosphere and comfortable learning environment.
- Students are helped in so many ways– such as a homework club, tutorials before and after school, remedial reading and math programs, and teaming of teachers across subject areas.
- Saunders Middle School has small self-contained classes in special education.
- There is frequent communication and teamwork among staff, teachers, students, and parents to ensure the success of students.
