2000-2001 School of Excellence

Achievements which enabled Henderson to be selected as a School of Excellence were the following:

• At Henderson, teacher leaders and administrative staff were able to create a climate of innovation and support which helped to establish a foundation for change.

Teachers utilized curriculum mapping, team meetings, workshops, and alternative resources to meet the needs of students.

Family friendly initiatives were established to incorporate parent involvement and understanding of the parent’s role in the educational process.
