Mr. Trenum is the father of three sons, all attending Prince William County Schools, and is an active, involved parent. His children attend Brentsville District High School, Marsteller Middle School, and Nokesville Elementary.
He and his wife Michelle have lived in Prince William County since 1996, when he was assigned shore duty at the Pentagon as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. Mr. Trenum is currently a Senior Systems Engineer and Deputy Program Manager with SAIC, Inc. and has worked in the field of Intelligence, Information Systems, and Security for 11 years. 
Mr. Trenum graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering from George Mason University. He served as an active duty US Navy Officer for 12 years and continues to serve his country as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves. He was just recently assigned as Commander of a Naval Security Force Unit in Panama City, Florida.

Before running for the School Board, Mr. Trenum previously served as the Brentsville District’s representative to the Prince William County 2006 Citizens Bond Committee. He and his family are members of Manassas Assembly of God in Bristow where he has taught 4-year-old Sunday School classes for many years. He also serves in the Nokesville Civic Association on the Education Committee.
