GED TEST REGISTRATION

To register for an official test in Prince William County, individuals are required to attend a registration session at the Adult Learning Center, 14800 Joplin Road, Manassas, Virginia 20112, to complete the final registration process. Registration requirements are listed below and are also available on our GED Test web site and information line at 703.791.2319.

2. Print and complete PWCS Code of Conduct Contract

3. Pre-register at GED123.org and print verification

4. Print and complete PWCS GED Test Registration Checklist

5. Attend a registration session listed below

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Individuals must be 18 years of age or must have attained 16 years of age and not be enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under state law. If under 18 years of age, written consent is required from the Adult Education Coordinator prior to registration.

Individuals must register in person at the Adult Learning Center prior to the test date. Only people registering for the test date will be permitted to attend. No children allowed. Late arrivals will not be allowed to register. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours for registration. Registration will be held on the following dates and times:

(When Prince William County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, registration will be canceled.)

Bring a cashier's check or money order (no cash or personal checks) made payable to Prince William County Schools for $35.00 for the entire test ($7.00 for each subject area retest). Note: The first time test taker fee is $10.00 for a total payment of $45.00. All fees are non-refundable.

Bring your valid driver's license, passport, military ID, or other form of government-issued (national or foreign) identification that shows name, address, date of birth, signature, and photograph.

TEST SCORES

TEST RESULTS:

You should receive your test scores within one week after taking the test.

Individuals can also log in to the GED123.org website to view their test scores and request an official transcript. In order to access this information, you must have an access code (provided by your testing center).

IF TEST IS PASSED:

Upon successful completion, a GED Certificate is awarded by the Virginia State Department of Education. The GED is widely accepted by employers and colleges.

IF TEST IS NOT PASSED:

Individuals may test only three times during one calendar year (January - December).

ACCOMMODATIONS:

Reasonable accommodations are available upon request to individuals who qualify.

*No cell phones are permitted in testing center.*
