Bennett Elementary School was honored 
as achieving “Gold” status in the 
US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) 
HealthierUS Schools Challenge, 
Over 100,000 schools across the country
 were challenged to participate 
but only 231 schools actually achieved 
Gold status,the highest honor obtainable in the 
USDA recognition program for nutrition 
excellence. Bennett Principal, Sharon Eley Fogarty, 
and Cafeteria Manager, Linda Chambers 
and her staff, received a plaque and 
award to acknowledge their accomplishment.

Beginning this year, post cards with bus stop information will be mailed to the homes of all students using regular school buses. Students who require special transportation services will be directly notified of their bus arrangements by Bennett Elementary School.

Bus schedules will also be posted on the Office of Transportation Services Web site (pwcs.edu/departments/transport ) beginning Monday, August 18. In addition to viewing these schedules on the Web site, parents can also obtain a printed copy in our main office.
