A recent press release from the Virginia Department of Education applauds the news that 28.3% of the state’s graduating seniors earned a “qualifying” score of 3.0 or higher on at least one AP examination. PWCS students have even more reason to celebrate.
Among 2016 graduates, 30.2% of PWCS students got at least one AP qualifying score. That percentage beats all but two states. When you count the Cambridge and IB courses that many PWCS advanced students take instead of AP, the number rises to 35.2%.
The results put PWCS students among the very best in the country.
