Online registration for the summer session of the Virtual High School @ PWCS (VHS) opens ONLINE April 20, after spring break, and runs through June 23. VHS@PWCS is Prince William County Public Schools online instructional program offered for high school students and rising freshmen. The VHS@PWCS offers 23 fully aligned full credit courses and pairs students with highly qualified instructors for a challenging and rewarding online learning experience. Students can work from any location with Internet access with in-person orientation and exams. Daily Internet/course access is required to be successful in the VHS summer program.
The dates for the six-week summer 2017 program are June 26–August 4, the same as the regular high school summer session, and students work approximately five hours per day M–F to complete their course. Students can work at any time of the day and from any location as long as they meet daily deadlines. Synchronous learning opportunities are available at scheduled times each day during instructor office hours.

The VHS program offers courses in Math, Science, Social Studies, HPE, Language Arts, World Language and Business. The program has approximately 1,500 enrollments per year with the summer session being the most attended of the three sessions. The VHS@PWCS is an award winning program and has earned NCAA approval as a non-traditional course provider.
