Bullet FREE GED Practice Tests - November 9, 21 and December 7, 2009

The GED test is usually offered at least twice a month at the Prince William County Public Schools Adult Learning Center, 14800 Joplin Road, (Independent Hill).

No test will be given in July.

SCORE NEEDED TO PASS

The maximum score you can get on each test is 800 for a total possible score of 4000.

To receive the GED® Certificate, you must obtain a minimum standard score of 410 on each test and a total score of 2250 (an average score of 450 on each test).

Test Results

You should receive your test scores within one week.

If the Test is Passed

Upon successful completion, a GED Certificate is awarded by the Virginia State Department of Education.  The GED is widely accepted by employers and colleges.

If the Test is Not Passed

Individuals may test only three times during one year.

Accommodations

Reasonable accommodations are available upon request to individuals who qualify.

*No cell phones are permitted in testing center.*

 
REGISTRATION

* Individuals must be 18 years of age or must have attained 16 years of age and not be enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under state law.  If under 18 years of age, written consent is required from the Adult Education Coordinator prior to registration.

* Individuals must register in person at the Adult Learning Center prior to the test date. Only people registering for the test will be permitted to attend.  No children allowed.  Late arrivals will not be allowed to register.  Allow approximately 1½ hours for registration.  Registration will be held on the following dates and times:

(When Prince William County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, registration will be canceled.)

* Bring a cashier’s check or money order (no cash or personal checks) made payable to Prince William County Schools for $35.00 for the entire test ($7.00 for each subject area retest).  NOTE:  The first time test taker fee is $10.00 for a total payment of $45.00.  All fees are non-refundable.

* Bring your valid driver’s license, passport, military ID, or other form of government-issued (national or foreign) identification that shows name, address, date of birth, signature, and photograph.
