When addressing any school bus transportation issue please provide the student's name, any specialty program the student may be enrolled in (i.e. IBP, CEBS, etc.), the bus number, bus stop, and the school the student attends. Also, please include your day time telephone number so we may contact you if we need any additional information. Having this information greatly assists us in responding to your inquiry.

The Code of Virginia, Section 22.1-176, permits school boards to provide transportation for eligible pupils, but does not require them to do so. Public school bus service in Prince William County is provided for all eligible students living in excess of one mile from their assigned school. Special provisions are arranged for students with disabilities.

Prince William County Public Schools Transportation Department is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Washington, DC. The Transportation Department provides service for Prince William County's 345 square miles and stretches from the Potomac River to the Bull Run Mountains. (Support within the county does not include Manassas and Manassas Park.)
