1. What time does school start?

                     School starts at 9:00a.m.  Students should be at school no earlier than 8:50. The tardy bell will at 9:00. Students arriving after 9:00 will be counted tardy and should report to the office.

2. What time is dismissal?

Dismissal for grades K-5 is at 3:30.

3. How do I contact the school/teacher?

You may call the school at 703-365-0287 at any time.  If you wish to speak to your child's teacher you may leave a message and he/she can return your call after school.  

4. What do I need to do if my child has to miss a day of school?

If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent, please send a note to your child's teacher as to the day and reason.  If it's an unplanned absence such as an illness, please call the school and let the office staff know.

5. Can I visit my child at school?

You may visit the school at any time.  Please inform your child's teacher if you plan to come in. You may also have lunch with your child any time, as well.  At any time you come to visit the school, you must check in at the office prior to going to your child's class.  You must have a picture i.d. to visit the classrooms or the cafeteria.

6. What do I need to do if there is a change in my child's transportation to or from school?

Please send a note to your child's teacher to inform him/her of any change in your child's transportation.

7. Who do I contact for PTO information?

You may contact the school at 703-365-0287.

8. How do I add money to my child's lunch account or contact the cafeteria?

You may contact the cafeteria directly by calling 703-330-8658.  You may also send a check made out to PWCFS with your child.  Make sure the child's name is on the check in the memo section. Your child's teacher can direct the check to the cafeteria.
