    Enterprise Elementary School
    International Celebration Night

Enterprise Elementary School is a dynamic place for learning, but did you realize that our student body represents 37 countries!  We are not only dynamic, but also a diverse group of learners.   We are going to be celebrating that diversity March 11th from 6-8pm for International Night.  Our multicultural committee has been working hard to plan and prepare and spectacular evening of information and fun.  Plan to join us for this evening of fun and festivities.

We celebrate our diversity throughout the year in and out of the classroom.  As a staff we continue to educate ourselves on the cultural strengths of our students in order to better understand unique characteristics.  Regardless of where our roots originate, there is a common goal all of us share for our students:  moral children who maintain strong bonds to and respect for family.  We hope to support this common goal and create a school that supports this goal.  For example, our classrooms have small groups of desks that promote cooperative learning and group discussions as well as academic learning centers that allow for exploration.  These environmental changes support our inclusive priorities as well as cooperative, supportive classrooms.  These classrooms build both social and academic success on a daily basis, which in turn strengthens the Enterprise family.

Knowledgeable teachers can co-construct—with students and families—classroom environments that reflect student’s cultural values while still presenting an academically challenging curriculum.  We will continue to refine and improve our environment, communication tools and connections with students and their families.  When that connection is strong and respectful then great learning takes place.  Come share your heritage with us March 11th from 6-8pm.
