April and May are full of activity! 

• We will have a guest speaker come in to talk with our students about the Earth, Sun, and Moon.
• Our students will have fun digging in the dirt with the "Soil Lady"! 
• The third grade team will also enjoy a half day off while learning about economics at Shoppers! 

The SOLs are quickly approaching and the third grade team is enjoying reviewing for them with our students. Take a moment and look through a few of the interactive websites listed above in "Links to SOL practice sites"  These are sites that you can enjoy with your students at home to get ready for the SOLs

Reading SOL : May 20
Science SOL:  May 21
Math SOL: May 29
 

Please read with your child every night. Research shows that the more a child reads at home the more
it will improve their overall reading abilities. This is a good way to help your child reach their AR goal.  The Summer Reading list has been updated for 2008.  Please keep your child reading over the summer by taking them to the library to pick out books they would enjoy reading.
