    Our school hours are 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM


    Students may NOT arrive at school prior to 8:30 A.M., unless they are having breakfast in the cafeteria. In that case only, they may enter the building through the SAC door at 8:25 A.M. and go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast. If the student arrives at school and/or in the classroom after 8:45 A.M., the student is tardy and must report to the front lobby desk to sign in and receive a "tardy pass" before going to his/her classroom.

    CAFETERIA INFORMATION & PRICES

    Every day our cafeteria staff prepares two hot lunch choices and a "salad of the day". In addition, a PB&J (peanut butter and jelly) lunch is also offered.   For vegetarians, we also have a yogurt lunch offered each day. Students may either purchase lunch in the cafeteria or they may bring a lunch from home. Kindergarten students have a snack each day. A snack may be purchased from the cafeteria or students may bring a nutritious snack from home. Your child will bring home a copy of the lunch or snack menu at the beginning of each month.   Breakfast is available daily in the cafeteria at 8:25 A.M.

    *Free or Reduced Price Meals are available to students whose households quality under federal standards. Families eligible for "Food Stamps" or "Aid to Dependent Children" are eligible for free meals. Families whose income falls below established standards qualify for reduced price meals. An application for meal assistance is available in the school office.

    SCHOOL ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

    Depending upon where you live, you will either ride a bus or walk to and from school. Students may not ride or bring bicycles, skates and/or skateboards to school. Safety patrols are posted at the side street crosswalks and adult crossing guards are located at major crossings along the way both before and after school each day. Students should not arrive earlier than 8:30 AM.  ALL WALKERS SHOULD ENTER AND DEPART THE BUILDING THROUGH THE HEDGES RUN DRIVE ENTRANCE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEPS.

    In order to ensure the safety of all LRES students, arrival and dismissal procedures are as follows:  Parents wishing to drop off and pick up children will do so at the front entrance of the school.  In the morning, cars and buses will line up along the driveway of the school.  Beginning at 8:30 a.m., students will begin to be unloaded.  In the afternoon, cars will again line up along the driveway of the school.   Please do not park along Hedges Run Drive to pick up your children.  After all buses have gone, car riders will be loaded - five cars at a time.  Daycare buses will now be loaded from Hedges Run Drive.

    ALL BUS RIDING STUDENTS WILL ENTER AND DEPART THE BUILDING THROUGH THE MAIN FRONT DOORS.
