Attendance/ Make-up work (Regulation 724-1)
Daily attendance is very important to academic and social growth. Retention is a consideration for any student who misses 10 or more days of school and has not satisfactorily completed the assigned work. Make-up work will be provided with 24 hours notice. If a student is absent one day, the make-up work will be provided to the youngster the following day. Teachers will prepare materials for each successive absence at the end of the school day. All absences must be verified daily. If contact is not made, the absence will be unexcused. To avoid an unexcused absence, please call us when your youngster will not be attending school - 703-791-2099 In addition, a note to the teacher is needed regarding the absence within a 2-day period.
