Teachers and Students as Authors on Read Across America Day; Sinclair Elementary Addition Update
“School Focus” keeps you informed about what’s going on in the School Division.
March 19, 2013
The "School Focus" film crew was on hand when Dr. Seuss’ famous character, The Cat in The Hat, made his annual appearance at Enterprise Elementary School. This is just one way students celebrated Read Across America Day, which commemorates Dr. Seuss’ March birthday. The occasion also served as the perfect time to celebrate the publishing of a book by Bernice Blankenship’s special education class and another by Reading Specialist Heather Schlect-Hill. See a quick feature on this week’s “School Focus,” the School Division’s weekly wrap-up on cable stations Channel 36 and Channel 18.
Also featured are the recent additions to Sinclair Elementary School. The school’s growing population necessitated adding new classrooms to the building and a new library provides ample space for additional books and students while maximizing natural lighting.
“School Focus,” produced by the Office of Media Production Services, airs regularly on PWCS-TV (Comcast Channel 18 and Verizon Channel 36), on demand at pwcstv.com, and on YouTube.
