"Soar Into Books with Monty"
Book Donation Program
If you would like to
donate a book to Monty’s library, then SOAR INTO BOOKS is the program for
you! This program provides an
opportunity for individuals to donate library books to the school. It gives the donor a way to recognize
achievements and an opportunity to remember or thank a special person, while
helping our library maintain a collection that is both current and of high
quality. Last year twenty-six books were
donated to our library.
How
does it work?
Books are chosen by Mrs.
Lewis, our librarian, to fit the collection requirements of
Books are purchased and
placed on our “wish list". This
list will be kept in the library office.
Donors choose a book,
complete a donation form, and send a check for the cost.
Book donations chosen from
the “wish list” may be made at any time during the year. Donors are welcome to view the selections in
our library, or ask that a list of available books be sent home.
How
are donations recognized?
A personal bookplate
recognizing the achievement is placed in the book.
The book is presented on
Monty’s News Show.
A list of donors is printed
in the Red & White Times.
Books may be donated in memory of loved
ones and friends, in honor of birthdays, special recognition of achievements,
or just to say thank you to someone special.

library and ask to speak with Mrs. Lewis or Mrs. Davis.
