Potomac High School’s David Haight won a gold medal and will represent Virginia at the National SkillsUSA Welding Competition.

One of 39 student welders to compete at the State competition, Haight wowed the judges with his welding skills, impressive technique, and solid understanding of the different types of welding. Haight is a dual-enrolled CTE student with Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC). This is a first-ever win for PWCS and for Potomac High School.
