Remembering 9/11 on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance
Posted on 09/09/2016

In Prince William County Public Schools and offices across the county today, students and employees observed a moment of silence to honor and remember those who lost their lives in a Pennsylvania field, at the Pentagon, and in the twin towers of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Our school community is united in recognizing the courage of those who risked their lives to save innocent victims.

“Their heroic acts remind us all of the compassion, bravery, and sacrifice that is part of the fabric that makes America strong. Our thoughts and gratitude are with those in uniform who defend our country every day,” said Superintendent Steven Walts.

Patriot High School hosted a breakfast for community first responders this morning in honor of Patriot Day. This is Patriot’s third year hosting this event for our local first responders. Patriot’s Marching Band performed, Leadership students served as hosts, and Culinary II students prepared the breakfast.
