Water slide at Aquatics Center

The thrill of speed, water, and the splash drew youngsters and the young-at-heart to the water slide at the PWCS Aquatics Center’s September 10 grand opening. Hundreds more used the competition and leisure pools.

“We will be offering lots of opportunities to make students from across the county safe and comfortable in the water, and to start them on a path to a lifetime of swimming and safe water fun,” said Allen Dunn, Aquatics Center manager.

Grand opening events included scuba diving and swimming lesson demonstrations, SeaPerch underwater robotics demonstrations, a relay race by high school swimmers, and synchronized swimming.

Memberships and swim passes can now be purchased online.
