Give your feedback on the “Potomac Shores” Middle School boundary proposals at an upcoming virtual community meeting

Prince William County Public Schools will continue the middle school attendance area planning for “Potomac Shores” Middle School, opening for the 2021-22 school year, through virtual meetings. The first virtual meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 7. Residents in the following middle school attendance areas could be impacted and are encouraged to attend: Beville, Fred Lynn, Graham Park, Hampton, Potomac, Rippon, Saunders, and Woodbridge Middle Schools.

During the virtual meeting, boundary plans developed by the Boundary Planning Committee will be shared with the public. The meeting will include more specific information about the plans, along with their implications for relieving overcrowding at the various middle schools in the eastern area of Prince William County. The Boundary Planning Committee will also receive public input on their proposed boundary plans.

Next Steps

Looking ahead, the second, and final, community meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, May 14.

The “Potomac Shores” Middle School Boundary Planning Committee’s recommendations will be presented to the School Board at its meeting on Wednesday, May 20, and the School Board will vote on the 2021-22 middle school attendance areas on Wednesday, June 10.
