Registration for the summer session of Virtual Prince William (VPW), the School Division’s online high school program, will be held from May 15 through June 15, 2020. Classes start June 22 and will conclude on July 31. VPW will begin using the new Canvas Learning Management System this summer. Find additional information on VPW, registration for the 2020 Summer Session, and for the 2021 fall and spring semesters on the Virtual Prince William page.

PWCS will also offer a virtual alternative to in-person summer school as a result of school closures due to the COVID-19 virus and the governor’s current stay-at-home orders:

  • The School Division will launch Operation Graduation, which will focus on credit recovery and supports for high school students who need it.
  • For non-high school students, PWCS plans to offer methods for students to encourage and support independent learning, including literacy and other programs.
  • PWCS will make every effort to create a fail-safe of support for those middle school students needing additional help in core academic areas.

The details of the summer programming are still being finalized. Watch for information to be communicated in the next several weeks.
