Traxler is in his third year at Leesylvania Elementary and attributes his success to the support he has received from school leadership and school staff and being given the opportunity to integrate coding into everyday lessons.

“I want my students to remember that I challenged them to reach their full potential and I made learning fun for them. My goal as a teacher is for students to reflect on their education and know that I was there for them and I inspired them to be a Positively PWCS student,” shared Traxler.

Traxler was presented the award by Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction James Lane at the Science Museum of Virginia earlier this month. First Lady Pamela Northam and Virginia Secretary of Education Atif Qarni were also present.
