From Our PrincipalMrs. Flemons, Principal

We are rounding out another successful school year!  On behalf on the entire staff and student body, thanks to our PTO, parent volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making this year fun and fruitful.  Through the support of our PTO, we will further enhance our playground over the summer with the addition of an overhead shelter for our outdoor classroom/picnic area.  The PTO provided additional educational resources for every grade level, refurbished the faculty lounge, and much,  much more!  To increase student motivation and bring students back to school after school, the PTO sponsored Movie Nights, the Sock Hop, the Monster Bash,  and  Spirit Nights.  It has been both a pleasure and a joy to work with such a caring supportive group of parents.

Looking ahead to next school year, we are excited to extend Math Investigations to grade four.  The Investigations approach builds a deeper understanding of math concepts.  It will help all students gain improved test performance and useable math skills.

We eagerly welcome Mrs. Pankowski back to Old Bridge Elementary for the 2008-2009 school year as Assistant Principal.  On May 1, Mrs. Pankowski accepted the position of Assistant Principal when offered by Human Resources. During the 2007-2008 school year Mrs. Pankowski  was a teacher on  Administrative Assignment.

We close out this year with marvelous memories of your children’s love of learning and laughter.  May this summer bring your family rest and relaxation.  Remember to take time to read and check out activities at the local libraries.  I look forward to seeing you on August 29 at Open House or September 2, the first day of the 2008-2009 school year.

If you would like to contact me over the summer, our hours are 8am-4pm Monday through Friday.   Summer School hours are 8:45 am-12:15 pm Monday
