School's
Mascots: Tiki and Rosie
Tiki
and Rosie are our much-loved school mascots who have been a
part of the IHS/PACE Program family for many years.
Tiki is a ten year old miniature horse.
She came to our school in December, 2000.
Rosie (pictured) is a Buckskin quarter horse and she
has been with us since 2001.
Students enjoy feeding the horses, brushing, petting
them, and running or walking them.
According
to Mrs. Hellwig, PACE teacher and caregiver to Tiki and
Rosie, there have been horses on the property for over 20
years. There was
a time when students were even permitted to ride them.
Mrs.
Hellwig instructs two students on the safe way to pet Rosie.
