Welcome to the Summer Reading Program at Pattie

Here you will find the summer reading assignments your child can do to prepare for the upcoming school year. On the following pages you will find the reading list for your child.

K-2 students need to complete a list of the 5 books they have read.3-5 students need to read 3 books. The documentation is to include:

•	the name of the author
•	the title of the book
•	a parent or guardian statement confirming that the student has completed the reading.

For grades K-5, students who participate in Prince William County Public Library's Summer Quest program will need to turn in only the Summer Quest documentation.

In addition to the above assignment, K-5 students may also wish to complete a book review for one of the books they have read.

Students in grades K-2 will receive an extra S+ for each book completed, for a total of five. Students in grades 3-5 will receive an extra A (100%) for each book completed, for a total of three.

Completion of the summer reading will be recorded for students by the endof the second week of school.
