In Microsoft Word,
here’s the best way to format a Works Cited page:
1. Type in all your source information and use
WORD WRAP.
DO
NOT hit enter at the
end of each
line
– just at the end of each
source.
Don’t worry about alphabetizing.
2. Once
you’ve entered each source, select everything (except your title:
Works Cited)
3. Go
to Format
– Paragraph
(on the menu bar)
4. In
the window that pops up do two things
Under
Line Spacing
go to Double
Under
Special
go to Hanging
5. Click
OK
6. Go
to Table
- Sort
(on the menu bar)
7. In
the window that pops us just click
OK
