Virtual High School @ PWCS Spring 2008 Session Calendar

  • Registration is on a space available basis - some courses fill quickly - register early!
  • Courses may be canceled if there are fewer than 5 students enrolled.  
  • Tuition must be paid in full before the course begins.   Details available on our website.

Orientation:   The VHS @ PWCS now has two orientations -

1. the program orientation, which is online and available five days prior to the first day of class, and

2.    the course orientation, which is either in person or online on the first day of class:   Weds. Feb. 6th 3:30 - 5:30 pm at Battlefield High School (15000 Graduation Dr. , Haymarket, VA 20169 571-261-4400)

**Both of these orientations are REQUIRED of ALL students.   It is highly recommended that students attend the course orientation in person.
** You must have reliable computer/Internet access each day of the course session.

**If a student cannot attend the course orientation in person on 2/6, they must login on that day and complete the assignments from home.   It is recommended that the student complete the first day at BHS with their online instructor in person.

HOLIDAY:                                          Monday Feb. 18th

Last Date for Drop/Refund:            February 20th

End First Marking Period:               March 6th  

NOTE:   THERE IS NO SPRING BREAK IN THE VHS -
YOU SHOULD PLAN ON COMPLETING YOUR ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS THAT WEEK OR WORK AHEAD!!

First Semester Exam:                      Wednesday April 2nd - 3:30 pm.                                                                                                                                   Location: Instructor's Base School

End Third Marking Period:             May 1st
SOL Exam:                                        (May) Students take the SOL at their base school.   All students in SOL courses are required to schedule their exam with their base school counselor and or test coordinator.

HOLIDAY:                                          Monday May 26th

Final Exam:                                        Wednesday May 28th - 3:30 pm
                                                            Location: Instructor’s Base School - must complete the End of Course Survey

Final grades will be submitted to the base school registrar approximately one week after the end of the course.
