| ABOUT CEDAR POINT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL |
|
CedarPoint currently serves the following subdivisions in the Bristow area: Braemar, Saybrooke, Victory Lakes, Ashley Ridge, and Sheffield Manor. |
| ENRICHMENT & SPECIAL PROGRAMS |
Cedar Point offers a wonderful after-school enrichment program sponsored by the PTA and Advisory Council. Foreign language, sign language, scrap-booking, drama, music, and art are just a few of the unique programs available for interested students. During the school day, students participate in a wide variety of “Encore” programs - art, music, P.E., library/computer lab, Spanish, and Science Lab. Cheetah Vision, our daily morning television broadcast, brings school news into each classroom. The televised program gives students an opportunity to produce a live television broadcast each day, with active roles in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
In 2004, our students participated in the “Students in Space” program sponsored by NASA. Our students’ signatures will be flown aboard a future Space Shuttle mission! We were also visited by Dr. Al Sacco, a NASA astronaut, during Space Week last spring.

| OPPORTUNTIES FOR PARENT & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT |
The PTA and Advisory Council play active and vital leadership roles in supporting the instructional programs. Parents and community members are strongly encouraged to volunteer at the school as instructional volunteers in the classroom, main office, and the library/computer lab. |
| WHAT MAKES CEDAR POINT UNIQUE? |
|
Cedar Point is a wonderful learning community for everyone – students, parents, and staff members. The community takes tremendous pride in its school. We are truly “Moving Toward a Winning Future!”
