Role and Goals of the PTA

The PTA is a liaison between the school and the parents.  The PTA's goals are to assist with fund raisers, support family events and improve the community as a whole.  The PTA works together with the school, but does not make policies.

Contact the PTA

The PTA has a couple email addresses for you to be aware of.

  • Use porterpto@hotmail.com for parents with questions, concerns or interest in getting involved with the PTA. Just send an email and one of the officers will get back to you soon!

  • Use  lewandpo@pwcs.edu  regarding volunteer opportunities (see below for more information on volunteering).

Join the PTA!

Porter relies on the commitment and involvement of our dedicated parents. Parents can join the PTA by paying $10 per family. Make checks payable to the Porter PTA, complete the PTA Registration Form (a copy can be found in the office) and return it to your child’s teacher.

 Volunteer Opportunities

Fulfill your volunteer commitment  but more importantly, support your child's school.  The PTA can keep you up-to-date on opportunities to contribute hours to the school, inside and outside the classroom.  To get on the email notification list, complete the Volunteer Signup Form at return it to your child's teacher.  If you have an address blocker, set it to accept email from lewandpo@pwcs.edu.

Spirit Wear available through Lands End

Lands End has Porter’s logo!  To purchase your clothing items and have them monogrammed with Porter's logo, use the Porter Logo code: 9001-0104-9 and place your order online at www.landsend.com.  Lands End will give the school 3% back for all Porter orders.

Box Tops for Education

Clipping Box Tops means money for Porter School.  General Mills provides the school 10 cents for each Box Top sent.  Here is how you can help us reach our goal of $1,000!

  1. Buy products with Box Top logos (a sample is listed below)

  2. Please cut/trim Box Top logo (there is usually a pink dotted line)

  3. Please check your grocery receipts as there are often Box Top Bonuses attached

  4. Please send them in as you get them to your child's teacher

  5. Please ask family, friends and co-workers to save Box Tops for our school

We will have a reward for each class that has sent in  BOX TOPS  throughout  the school year.
