SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

A new college scholarship information and application tool is now available on the PWCS Web Site at www.pwcs.edu/scholarships. High school career and financial aid counselors, guidance directors, and Student Services and Communications Services have collaborated to implement an interactive tool for students and parents to view active scholarships, complete a scholarship search, download applications, or link to scholarship web sites.

    AREA MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE GUIDE:
A directory of area hospitals/treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists (psychologists, social workers and counselors) and other youth serving agencies is available upon request from the Student Services department or your child's school.  The collection and distribution of this information was coordinated by the Student Services department; however, this does not in any way constitute an endorsement of the resources included in the directory.  Please call (703) 791.7257 for additional information.

   ENROLLMENT FORMS:

The Office of Student Services has provided the standard registration forms for Prince William County Public Schools so that you can print and complete the forms in advance of registration if you choose. In addition, schools may also have additional forms that are specific to the individual school.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF - STUDENT SERVICES PROFESSIONAL RESOURCE LIBRARY:

The Student Services Professional Resource Library has been created to provide counselors, psychologists, social workers, student assistance program specialists, school nurses and attendance officers with current reference materials.  These resources support the collaborative efforts of all Student Services personnel as they strive to meet the needs of students, staff, and parents in PWCPS.  Items in this library may be checked out by contacting the Student Services department at (703) 791.7265.  Listed below are the categories of the resources available in this library.

A STUDENT SERVICES GUIDE TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

This manual contains responses to questions submitted to Student Services by school division staff.  Included among the questions are situations that occur with some frequency and suggested guidelines for responding to these situations.  Effort was made to provide sufficient information to assist staff with responding to these situations.  Copies of this manual have been distributed to school administrators, counselors, secretaries in charge of registration, registrars and other appropriate staff.  Please contact the Student Services Department at (703) 791.7257 if you have additional questions about this document.
