Parents,
Beginning June 9, 2008, the playground area at Triangle will be closed as the construction of the new school building will begin. As a result, the following changes will occur:
  • Car Riders, Walkers and Parking will be impacted.
  • Event Parking will be in the neighboring community.
  • Bus Loop will be closed from 9:15 - 3:00 (This will be one of our recess areas)
  • Car Riders ONLY will be allowed in the bus loop between 9:00 - 9:10 a.m. and 3:55 - 4:10 p.m.
  • A bus will be provided for our walkers during this construction process.

This is an exciting yet challenging process. For the next 18 months we want to thank you in advance for y our patience and cooperation. We are asking for your support and understanding with these procedures so we can keep all our students safe during this construction process.

Sincerely,

........ Mark Marinoble, Principal .............. Sandra Carrillo, Assistant Principal

Parents of Car Riders
Due to the impending construction of the new school, we will no longer have access to the parking lot near the playground. As a result of the loss of the parking lot, Car Rider Procedures will change, effective June 9, 2008.

Morning Drop Off:
Students may be dropped off in the morning between 9:00 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. Parents will wait until the second flight of buses has left, then they may drive around the circle in front of the school and drop their child off. Please make sure your child exits on the passenger side of your car. School personnel will be outside to assist the student into school.

Afternoon Pickup:
Afternoon pickup will be from 3:55 - 4:10 p.m. Car Riders will be the LAST to be dismissed. Parents are to wait until the second flight of buses has left, then they will drive around the circle in front of the school and pick up their child there. School personnel will wait with the student in front of the building to assist them as they are being picked up. Students not picked up by 4:00 p.m. will go to the office and have to be picked up there.

Parents of Walkers
Due to the impending construction of the new school, we will no longer have access to the parking lot near the playground. As a result of the loss of the parking lot, Walker Procedures will change effective June 9, 2008.

New procedures for Walkers:
Transportation has agreed to provide a bus route ONLY during the construction process. Once the school is built, this bus will no longer be available.

We strongly recommend that if your child is currently a walker, they ride the bus to and from school. Due to construction equipment entering and exiting on Lionsfield Road to the work site, this is the safest option.

More information with specific bus stops and times to follow. If you have any questions, please contact the school at: 703-221-4114. Thank you for your cooperation in the matter.
