Attendance School attendance for children ages 6 - 17 is mandatory by Virginia State Law. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to see that their child attends school regularly and on time. Absences If your child is unable to attend, a phone call to the school letting us know your child will be out is requested.You can even call in before school opens or the night before and leave a message on our answering machine. Whenever a student is not in school and we have not heard from you, our office staff will attempt to contact you by phone. All students who return to school after being absent are expected to bring a note from their parent stating the date and reason for the absence. (call 703-494-3220 for absences) Tardy Children are marked tardy if they get to school after 9:20AM. If your child is tardy we ask that you escort him/her in and sign them in at the front desk.

Asistencia La asistencia a la escuela para los estudiantes de edades de 6-17 es mandataria de acuerdo a las leyes del estado de Virginia. Es la responsabilidad de los padres de asegurarse de que su hijo/a asista a la escuela regularmente y a tiempo. Ausencias Si su hijo/a no puede asistir a la escuela, pedimos que llame a la escuela y nos deje saber que no va a asistir. Puede aun llamar antes de que la escuela habrá o la noche anterior y dejar un mensaje en la maquina. Cuando un estudiante no esta en la escuela y la escuela no recibe ningún mensaje de usted, alguien de la oficina intentara ponerse en contacto con usted por teléfono. Es necesario que después de una ausencia el estudiante traiga una nota de parte del un padre dejándonos saber la fecha y la razón de la ausencia. Si no recibimos una nota la ausencia no será escusada. (Llame al 703-494-3220 para reportar ausencias) Tardancias Los estudiantes están considerados tardes
si llegan a la escuela después de las 9:20AM. Si su hijo/a esta
tarde le pedimos que usted entro con el/ella y que firme el libro en
el escritorio de la recepcionista. |
