Who was Mary F. Williams?

Mary F. Williams taught at Dale City Elementary School for 19 years and retired in 1997. She was a Prince William County School Board member for the Neabsco District from January 2000 until her death in September 2002. She also volunteered as a reading teacher at Neabsco Elementary School after her retirement. Mrs. Williams was also very active in our community. She founded Woman in Community Action, which is a non-profit organization that provides guidance and assistance to female minority students. She was a member of ACTS, President of the Dale City Lioness Club, served on the Advisory Board of Volunteer Emergency Families and was a foster parent. Mrs. Williams was also a board member for the Symphony Orchestra, a member of the PWC Fire Board, The Prince William County Comprehensive Plan Review Committee, and the Women's Commission of Prince William County. We are very proud to have our school named after such a wonderful woman.
