On November 7, in partnership with the World Languages Department in the Office of Student Learning and Triway International, Patriot High School hosted 13 delegates, including Superintendents and Principals from Zhengzhou, China. After introductions and welcome messages from Dr. Michael Bishop, Principal, Mr. David Van Gelder, Assistant Principal, Ms. Katherine Swanson, Specialty Programs Coordinator, and Anastasia Cartlidge, Administrative Coordinator for World Languages, the delegates toured the school. David Eifert, Instructional Coach for World Languages, also attended the event. Highlights of the tour included visits to the culinary program, fine and performing arts, and a walk through math and science classes. At the conclusion of the tour, delegates enjoyed a school lunch and a question-and-answer session with Dr. Bishop, Ms. Swanson, and two leadership student representatives, Jasmine Thomas and Jordan Campbell, seniors. International education, the exchange of learning opportunities, and conversations like those held during the visit, are at the core of our values in providing a World-class education to our students.
