Early Online College

Early Online College is a collaboration with Prince William County Schools (PWCS) and Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) that offers qualified high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take up to two college courses online each semester. There is no cost to students and families.

Benefits include:

  • Students may complete up to two college courses per semester.
  • Families save money--each class is free!
  • Early Online College lowers the cost of college--students graduate from high school with college credits.
  • Students have access to campus resources and participate in college events and activities
  • NOVA has transfer agreements with Virginia state colleges, ensuring your credits count at a VA 4-year public institution.
  • Courses are asynchronous so students can still participate in jobs, sports, and activities

Registration deadline is September 1.

Registration Process

  1. Apply to NOVA at nvcc.edu and secure your 7-digit NOVA ID.
  2. Register at nvcc.dualenroll.com.
  3. Select "Early Online College Fall 2021" for your term and select up to two courses.
  4. Have your parent/legal guardian consent to your course selection.
  5. Upload a copy of your current high school transcript that includes a required cumulative GPA of 3.0 and higher or any qualifying scores.
  6. To check your application status, log in to nvcc.dualenroll.com.
