Classroom Driver Education
Classroom driver education instruction, offered as part of your student's HPE II class, requires students and their parent/guardian to attend a 90-minute traffic safety program. This requirement must be met before a student will receive a Driver Education Certificate of Completion (DEC-1) card. You and your student are encouraged to attend one of the scheduled meetings during the time your student is receiving classroom driver education instruction. Code of Virginia §22.1-205 participation requirement is for a 90-minute program; therefore, no one will be admitted after the presentation has started and the doors have been closed. For more information of meeting days/times, visit the Student/Parent Meeting page.
