Dr. Martin Grimm currently serves as the Director of Student Activities & Athletics Department for Prince William County Public Schools; he oversees the supervision of 13 high school activities and athletic departments, 17 middle school athletic programs, the Robotics Program, the PWCS Aquatics Center, and the sports medicine program that includes 13 athletic trainers, concussion awareness training, concussion prevention, and return to play and learn protocols for PWCS. Before his current position with PWCS, Dr. Grimm has served as a Secondary School and High School Principal, tenures as a High School Assistant Principal and Director of Student Activities and has a background as a Physical Education Teacher spanning grades K-12 and has served as the Director of Athletics and the Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Oxford College of Emory University.

Ashley has 12 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer. She attended George Mason University for both her Undergraduate and Masters degrees. Ashley worked as the first Athletic Trainer for a youth football league in Northern Virginia during grad school. Then for a large D2 university in North Carolina. For the past 7 years Ashley has served as the Athletic Trainer at Charles J. Colgan High School. She resides in Prince William County with her husband and daughter.

E. W. has over 28 years in public education and started in Prince William County Public Schools in March 2023. E. W. attended Longwood College for his undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education and George Mason University for his master’s degree in Education Leadership. During his career E. W. has been a teacher, coach, Assistant Director of Student Activities, and Director of Student Activities. Before coming to PWCS. E. W. spent the last 14 years as the Director of Student Activities at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax County Public Schools. E. W. and wife Linda live in Lorton, Virginia, their son William lives in Lake Ridge and daughter Madison lives in Chicago.

Erin has been in public education for ten years: three years with Fairfax County and seven years with Prince William County. During her time with PWCS, Erin has taught 5th grade at Dale City Elementary and 6th grade Science and Technology Education at Fred Lynn Middle School. Erin has also been a VEX VRC and IQ robotics coach for six years at three different schools: Fred Lynn Middle School, Lake Ridge Middle School, and Dale City Elementary with teams taking her to State and World Championships four of those years. She received her undergraduate and master's degrees at Liberty University. Erin holds a VDOE issued PreK-6 teaching license with a Technology Education endorsement and a certificate in Instructional Technology and Online Learning. She is married and has three children who all attend PWCS schools.
Aquatics Manager

Allen started his career in aquatics as a lifeguard with Arlington Public Schools while studying Business Administration at Marymount University. During his time in Arlington, he served as a pool operator, head lifeguard, assistant manager, and a full-time pool manager before coming to PWCS in 2015. Prior to the opening of the Aquatics Center in 2016, Allen was charged with developing and implementing all aspects of the facility’s operations. Today, the facility welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually, including 3,000 PWCS seconds graders for Water Safety School, 6,000 community members for swim lessons, and thousands of swim team members, lap swimmers, and recreational swimmers. In addition to managing the Aquatics Center, Allen holds various instructor and instructor trainer certifications with the American Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance, and the National Recreation and Park Association.

Denyse is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and attended school in Boston. You may still hear her accent in a conversation. Her background is in instructional design and she has worked as a trainer/ISD for Software AG, Department of Homeland Security and finally with Micron Technology before she joined PWCS to expand the robotics program. Denyse has been with PWCS for almost 15 years running the robotics program. Denyse and her husband live in PWC and have a daughter who is a senior at VT (Go Hokies). On the side, she is on a competitive racing crew team with big plans to race at the Head of Charles back in her hometown of Boston.
