Student Opportunity and Multilingual Services Department
Student Opportunity and Multilingual Services Department oversees and maintains services provided to English Learners (ELs) and immigrant youth in support of state and federal regulations. The main functions are to provide comprehensive registration services and ensure high-quality school-based programs that assist ELs to reach proficiency in English while meeting and exceeding state content standards. The Global Welcome Center responds to requests for information and assesses for EL Program eligibility. Instructional Services supports educators in implementing best practice techniques for ELs. Translation Services facilitates communication with families of ELs.

In the event of a delayed opening to the PWCS school day (Code Green), the Global Welcome Centers will open at 10 a.m. Every effort will be made to reschedule the missed appointments to another time on the same day. Please call the Global Welcome Center to make arrangements for an appointment time that meets your needs.
