Gifted at a Glance: A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Education in PWCS

7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 – Live Virtual Session

Join us to learn more about the services available to students in grades K-12 through the Gifted Education Programs. In this session, we will discuss what it means to be “gifted,” how students are identified for the program, and ways parents can support their advanced learners at home. Come with any questions you may have about the gifted program or the identification process.

Presenter for this session: Brenda Bailey is the Supervisor of Gifted Education in PWCS. Over the last 30 years, she has served as a middle school teacher, gifted resource teacher, gifted specialist, and administrative coordinator. Brenda has presented at the local, state, and national levels on a variety of topics in gifted education, including characteristics and needs of gifted learners, equitable identification practices, differentiation, and creativity. She is excited about this opportunity to partner with parents.
