General Information
Current high school students may take only one course for new or repeat credit during this six-week program. Students must attend the entire course and will earn one Carnegie Credit upon successful completion of the course. With approval from the student's administrator or designee, rising ninth-grade students may take a high school class for course credit.

- Algebra I*, Algebra II*, Geometry*, and Algebra Functions and Data Analysis (AFDA)
- US & VA History*, US & VA Government, World History I*, and World History II*
- Economics and Personal Finance
- HPE I and HPE II
- Driver's Education Classroom:

- Program Dates: July 11 to July 20, 2022
- Parents and students must plan on attending the informational meeting via Zoom on July 12.
*Students enrolled in this course will be offered an SOL test session at Gar-Field.
Attendance
Students may not be absent for more than three cumulative days or 15 hours of the 29-day program to receive credit for the course taken. Students missing more than the three allotted days will be withdrawn from summer school and no course credit or refund will be given.

High School Grading
Grades will be calculated in accordance with the guidelines outlined in Prince William County Public Schools grading regulation.
Please note: Students who withdraw between June 27, 2022, and July 8, 2022, may do so without a grade penalty. Students who withdraw will not be refunded tuition. Students who withdraw between July 11, 2022, and July 22, 2022, will receive a mark of withdrawn failing (WF) or withdrawn passing (WP). Students who withdraw after July 22, 2022, will receive a mark of Fail (F).
Transportation
Shuttle transportation service is provided from each of the county's high schools to Gar-Field High School. Please see the Summer School Transportation Information.
Tuition
- Students who meet the qualifications for the Six-Week Program and are taking a course for repeat or recovery credit, Graduation Academy, or attending the EL Academy can attend free of charge.
- Students taking a course for the first time to accelerate earning credit will be responsible for paying tuition. Please contact the Summer School Office for the Six-Week in-person tuition rates and visit Virtual Prince William for virtual summer school tuition rates.

- Driver's Education Classroom only - $150
- Non-residents (out of county) - $705 per course
- Non-residents and non-PWCS students should email SummerSchool@pwcs.edu to register.
Tuition payments will only be accepted through the Student Quick Pay System.
Current PWCS parents/guardians will need to create an account at Student Quick Pay. Students will need to be added to the parents/guardians account using the Student ID number and last name. The student's last name must be written exactly as it appears in ParentVUE.
