Registration opens March 1, 2022, and ends June 15, 2022, for all middle school programs.

Registration Instructions
- To register a PWCS student for summer school, visit ParentVUE.
- In the top right corner, select Online Records.
- Scroll down to the online packet menu and select 2021-2022 Summer School Registration.
- Complete and confirm the following student information:
- Introduction
- Family
- Parent/Guardian
- Emergency
- From the Student screen:
- Exclude students who are not participating in Summer School; OR
- Edit to register any students who will participate in Summer School
Remember to review and press submit.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
We understand summer plans can change. We are offering the following flexible refund policy for summer 2022.
- To change the program that your student is currently registered for, complete a new registration in ParentVUE. Your new registration will cancel the old registration.
- The last day to cancel an enrichment program registration for a refund is the Friday before the start of camp. No refunds or credits will be given for enrichment programs after that date.
- For cancellations between the registration date and the Friday before the start of camp, full refunds will be given.
- To cancel a registration, email your student's name and the name of the summer camp to SummerSchool@pwcs.edu.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must complete summer school registration in ParentVUE.
Middle School Three-Week Academic Program
Dates And Times
- July 11 - July 29, 2022
- 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
General Information
This program provides opportunities to improve necessary skills through interactive and engaging activities. Current 2021-22 students Grades 6-8 are eligible to attend. Students will receive instruction in language arts, mathematics, and social skills.
Attendance
Attendance is mandatory. Students absent for more than two consecutive days of the 15-day program may be withdrawn.
Transportation
Transportation service is provided. Bus stops for summer school may be different from the regular school year bus stops. No special bus stops will be established for individual students.
Summer school bus stop locations will be posted and communicated one-week before the start of summer school. Please see the Summer School Transportation Information.
Tuition
There is no tuition fee for Prince William County residents to attend this program.
Students with Disabilities
These students require minimal to no support and will be served in an inclusive setting. Minimal support is defined as any accommodation provided by a general education teacher in the general education setting. These accommodations would be listed on the student's IEP. The Office of Special Education will work with the summer school program principals to identify and provide appropriate supports.
Students Who Follow the Aligned Standards Of Learning (ASOL) Curriculum
Students with disabilities in low incidence programs and that follow the Aligned Standards of Learning (ASOL) may be provided Extended School Year (ESY) services based on demonstrated need and requirements outlined in the VDOE ESY document. The Office of Special Education will provide appropriate support for these students.

Middle School Student Success Academy
Dates And Times
- Session I: Unity Braxton Middle School, July 11-15, 2022
- Session II: Hampton Middle School, July 18-22, 2022
- Session III: Saunders Middle School, July 25-29, 2022
General Information
The Middle School Student Success Academy is available for current 2021-22 students in grades 6-8. This one-week program focuses on organization, time-management, study skills, learning styles and executive functioning, note-taking, and middle school transitions. This program is taught by a Professional School Counselor or School Social Worker.
There will be no late registration for this program.
Attendance
Attendance is mandatory for all five days.

Summer Art Enrichment (SAE)
Location, Dates And Times
- Pattie Elementary School
- July 11-22, 2022
- 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
General Information
SAE is a two-week program for students interested in the visual arts and performing arts. Students may choose from one of the programs below.
Program One: "Creativity in Action" will explore various art media, skills, and techniques in both 2D and 3D art forms.
Program Two: "United in Song" is for students interested in the performing arts. Students will explore various skills and techniques related to music and theatre.
These programs are open to all students currently enrolled in grades 2-8. There will be no late registration for this program.

Tuition is $210 for Prince William County residents. Tuition is $260 for non-residents.
Tuition payments should be made through Student Quick Pay.
