*Overflow parking will be available at the Boys and Girls Club. A school bus will be available to transport families across Dale Blvd.

Sessions
- Rocketing into High School: Preparing for Lift Off to 9th Grade (focus for grades 8)
- Get Ready for a successful transition to high school! This presentation is specifically designed for rising 9th graders to prepare them for the exciting challenges ahead.
- PWCS Advanced and Specialty Programs (focus for grades K-12)
- Learn more about the specialty program opportunities available to students in elementary, middle, and high school. In this session we will provide an overview of the available programs.
- Zones of Regulation (focus for grades 3-5)
- This mini workshop will introduce parents to "the zones" that help students better understand their emotions. Students who are able to regulate/control their emotions do better socially, emotionally, and academically.
- AI and Digital Citizenship: How to Protect Your Students and Your Privacy in the Age of AI (focus for grades 3-9)
- In an era where artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into our daily lives, understanding how to navigate digital spaces safely and responsibly is crucial. This session will explore the intersection of AI and digital citizenship, focusing on practical strategies to protect both students and personal privacy, with an added emphasis on family engagement.
- Magma Math (focus for grades 3-8)
- This presentation will be about the benefits of Magma Math for student discourse and growth.
- How to Encourage Good Reading Habits at Home (focus for grades 6-8)
- Let's learn how to make reading at home not only important, but fun too! You will leave this session with strategies and ideas to support your child and their reading habits at home.
- The Wonders of Chemical Reactions (focus for grades 3-9) *Only offered for Sessions 2 and 3
- Students will utilize various "chemicals" to create exciting reactions.
- Universe of Words: Vocabulary Building Games (focus for grades 6-8)
- This is an interactive session, parents and children will participate in a variety of fun and engaging games designed to enhance their language skills.
- My Plate: Make Every Bite Count (focus for grades 3-9)
- This session will provide information about resources available to families that promote a healthy lifestyle.

Do you need transportation to this event?
Transportation
This year we are offering limited transportation by school bus to the event at Beville Middle School.
We have a capacity of 80 people for each location. We will have a wait list if we reach the limit. Anyone who signs up for transportation from the locations below will be contacted about the details. All pick ups and drop offs will be at the schools listed below. If you are in need of transportation, please select the school that is nearest to you. Please arrive to the designated school location on time as buses will be leaving from that designated location at the time that will be sent to you.
- Featherstone Elementary School (east side of the county)
- 14805 Blackburn Rd., Woodbridge, VA
- Schools that are near Featherstone Elementary School are Freedom High School, Potomac View Elementary School, and Rippon Middle School
- Bel Air Elementary School (central part of the county)
- 14151 Ferndale Rd., Woodbridge, VA
- Schools that are near Bel Air Elementary School are Dale City Elementary School, Hampton Middle School, and Minnieville Elementary School
- This bus will be able to pick up at the following schools at the designated time:
- Bel Air Elementary School at 5:15 p.m.
- Dale City Elementary School at 5:25 p.m.
- Neabsco Elementary School at 5:35 p.m.
- Hampton Middle School at 5:45 p.m.
- Minnieville Elementary School at 6 p.m.
- Sudley Elementary School (western side of the county)
- 9744 Copeland Dr., Manassas, VA
- Schools that are near Sudley Elementary School are Sinclair Elementary School, Unity Braxton Middle School, and West Gate Elementary School
- Yorkshire Elementary School (western side of the county)
- 7610 Old Centerville Rd., Manassas, VA
Registration for transport is included on the registration form.
Registration is required and is open through Monday, March 10, 2025.
