Tahsin Amin, Hylton High school co-valedictorian, heads to Georgetown University this fall to begin her academic study in medicine. She wishes to work with non-profits such as Doctors Without Borders to give quality healthcare to those in need overseas.

Tahsin will be attending Georgetown University in the fall. She plans on majoring in biochemistry on the pre-med track, and later attend medical school to become a pediatrician.

Rebecca Thompson, Hylton High School co-valedictorian, says that it was taking the AP Seminar class that ultimately changed the course of her future studies. Through the class, Rebecca was exposed to a wide range of topics that led her to write an award-winning essay on the lack of proper access to justice for vulnerable children, poor citizens, and the black minority. Rebecca will be attending Harvard University this fall to study family and immigration law.

Nipa Patel, Hylton High School salutatorian, thanks members of her support system for helping her achieve academic success. Nipa says, “I would not be where I am today without them, and I am so appreciative of the unwavering love and support they give me. If high school has taught me anything, it is that if you surround yourself with positive people, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.” Nipa will be headed to the University of Virginia this fall.
