Mission and Vision

Mission

The Global Welcome Center's mission is to serve the needs of families who are new to Prince William County Public Schools and who speak and/or understand another language in addition to or instead of American English. Multilingual staff assists parents with registration while a language assessment specialist evaluates a student's English skills. The Global Welcome Center provides schools with complete initial cumulative and EL files; grade level recommendations; and foreign transcript evaluations.

Vision

The culturally diverse staff will be dedicated to professional growth, innovation, and collaboration leading to improved assessment and instruction. The community will be enhanced through a variety of educational, social, recreational, and cultural activities. By making use of district and community resources, the Global Welcome Center will be a dynamic organization constantly searching for better ways to provide a broad range of services.
