In accordance with Board Policy 180, the Prince William County School Board takes action annually regarding membership in professional organizations and selection of Board representatives to each organization.

At its January 22 meeting, the Board approved the following actions and appointments for organizations/committees as follows: 

  • Continue membership in the Virginia School Boards Association for 2020.
  • Elect Ms. Williams to serve as delegate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 18-20, 2020.
  • Elect Ms. Raulston to serve as alternate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 18-20, 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Jackson to serve as representative to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2020.
  • Appoint Mr. Wilk to serve as alternate to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2020.
  • Appoint Ms. Raulston to serve as representative to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Jessie to serve as alternate to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2020.
  • Appoint Dr. Lateef to serve as representative to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Jackson to serve as alternate to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Zargarpur to serve as representative to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2020.
  • Appoint Dr. Lateef to serve as alternate to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Jessie to serve as representative to the Head Start Advisory Board for 2020.
  • Appoint Dr. Lateef and Mrs. Wall to serve as representative to the School Health Advisory Board for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Wall and Mr. Wilk to serve on the Safe Schools Advisory Council for 2020.
  • Appoint Dr. Lateef and Mrs. Wall to serve as representatives to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2020.
  • Appoint Mrs. Jackson to serve as alternate to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2020.
