You can log into the Employee Self Service (ESS) system to perform many essential functions, including:

  • View/print out your pay stubs
  • Change your address and phone number
  • Change your emergency contact information
  • View/print a copy of your W-2 form
  • Make Open Enrollment Benefits elections

Log In to ESS

For security reasons, there are two ways to access the ESS system.

Using a Personal Device from a non-PWCS location

Log in to ESS from a non-PWCS location 

Click the above link to initiate the two-step authentication login and use your current PWCS network username and password (also known as LDAP). You may want to create a bookmark in your web browser easy access in the future.

Using a PWCS Network-Enabled Device either at a PWCS location or utilizing VPN Client (Cisco AnyConnect)

Log in to ESS from a PWCS work location

Click the above link to go directly to the ESS login and use your current PWCS network username and password (also known as LDAP)

To navigate in ESS, utilize the tabs across the top and the tabs on the left. Notice the options to modify and submit certain information in order to make a change.

System requirements for your personal device

  • Operating Systems:

  • SunJava 1.8 or later is required for ESS

If you continue to have login issues after using the instructions, please contact the ESS Administrator at [email protected] between the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Once you successfully enter ESS, make sure to set up a security question for future password reset situations.

The ESS Open Enrollment Wizard is only available during the annual open enrollment period (begins in April each year). All changes/enrollments made during open enrollment are effective July 1 following the close of the open enrollment period.

You cannot make changes to your tax withholdings or direct deposit in ESS. This must be done on an original form sent directly to the payroll office.
