The mission of the Energy Management office is to plan and manage school division energy use and sustainability, improve environmental and fiscal stewardship in facility use, and educate staff and students through leadership in energy and environmentally conscious design.
Our office provides:
- Administration of state and federal funding for energy improvements;
- Recommendations and specifications for sustainable construction and operational practices;
- Energy conservation measures;
- Utility invoice cost and consumption analysis;
- Environmental compliance and quality control; and
- Energy education, as well as custom developed SOL-based curriculum and educational tools using facilities as a teaching tool.
