Project Learning Tree GreenSchools Participation

To be eligible for the Project Learning Tree (PLT) GreenSchools program, each participating school will send at least one representative, including the sustainability coordinator, to a PLT GreenSchools workshop hosted by PWCS Offices of Student Learning and Facilities Services.

This year's workshop will likely be held virtually via webinar. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Schools can earn up to $1,800 for the site and $200 for the staff sponsor. Please review the PLT GreenSchools/Energy Management Partnership Info Sheet to learn more. To earn up to $1,800 for your school, participation in one of the following investigations is required: Energy Investigation, Environmental Quality Investigation, or Waste and Recycling Investigation

The PWCS Energy Management Team provides another opportunity for schools to earn incentive rebates. The annual Energy Challenge uses criteria derived from the PLT GreenSchools modules where students and staff participate in energy audits and produce school-specific communications and campaigns. Visit our Energy Challenge page for more information.

Please visit the PLT GreenSchools website for additional resources regarding the national program.
