For payment of licensure fees, you can provide a check or money order payable to the Treasurer of Virginia to the PWCS Office of Certification with your licensure paperwork, or you can pay online directly with the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and then send your PWCS Certification Specialist a copy of the receipt.

How to Pay Online

  1. Go to the Licensure Fee Online Payment Option section at the bottom of the VDOE Licensing Services webpage.
  2. Select the "Pay Now" button, do not use the "Apply Online Now for an Initial Virginia License" link if you already hold a Virginia license.  For an Initial License application payment, please send your Certification Specialist a copy of your receipt, a scanned copy of all supporting documents you have uploaded with your application, and you will also need to provide the "PKID Number" that the VDOE will be emailing to you.

When using the VDOE payment portal, it may ask you for your license or application number. Please note that you may just include the last four digits of your Social Security number or PWCS badge number in this section.

Please remember that a copy of the online payment receipt does need to be forwarded to your PWCS Certification Specialist or enclosed in your licensure packet that you are sending to PWCS Certification.
